OpenAI just launched Study Mode, a new feature that turns ChatGPT into a personalized teacher.
Instead of simply giving answers, ChatGPT now asks about your goals and current understanding. Based on that, it creates custom lessons. Whether you’re stuck on a physics problem or need a refresher on a topic, it adapts to your needs and walks you through the material step by step.
Inspired by methods like Socratic questioning and knowledge checks, Study Mode is designed to help students truly learn—not just copy answers.
It’s available now on Free, Plus, Pro, and Team plans, and coming soon to ChatGPT Edu.
Just toggle it on under “Tools” to get started.
