Elon Musk has introduced Grok Imagine, a new in-app feature that lets users create AI-generated images and videos directly inside the X app (formerly Twitter).
To access it, just update your X app and go to Settings > Grok > Imagine to request access. This puts you on the waitlist for early use.
Built by xAI, the AI arm of X, Grok Imagine allows users to generate visuals instantly from text prompts, with real-time editing no separate app needed.
Musk shared a demo on X, highlighting how fast the tool is: users can turn an image into a video with sound in under 30 seconds.
If you're into AI and visual creativity, this is a feature worth trying.

Google DeepMind Introduced Genie 3
DeepMind has introduced Genie 3, a powerful upgrade to its “world model” AI that can generate interactive 3D environments from simple prompts or images. The real-time system lets users modify elements like objects, characters, and weather on the fly, making it ideal for gaming, research, and AI training.

Genie 3 improves massively on Genie 2 with smoother visuals (720p at 24fps) and longer memory, allowing it to retain visual elements for several minutes. This makes simulations more consistent and realistic.
While it still struggles with fine details like text and human movement, and can't recreate real-world locations, Genie 3 is seen as a major step toward training advanced AI using synthetic data. It's not publicly available yet, but DeepMind plans to expand access to more researchers soon.
OpenAI Expected to Launch GPT-5 Soon — Here’s What to Expect (Source)

OpenAI CEO - Sam Altman
OpenAI is reportedly on the verge of launching GPT-5, with hints from CEO Sam Altman and team suggesting a release could happen this week.
GPT-5 is expected to automatically choose the best model for each prompt, combining the speed and affordability of GPT models with the advanced reasoning of the o-series. This means faster, higher-quality answers without users needing to toggle models.
OpenAI is gearing up to launch GPT-5, its most advanced model yet. Unlike previous versions, GPT-5 aims to unify reasoning, multimodal input (text, image, voice, and possibly video), and task execution into a single, powerful system. No more switching between models — GPT-5 will adapt dynamically to different tasks.
Free ChatGPT users will get basic access, while Plus and Pro subscribers will unlock more powerful features. GPT-5 is also set to include key tools like Voice, Canvas, Search, and Deep Research.
The release follows a year of anticipation and delays, with developers and users alike eager to see how this model pushes the boundaries of AI performance.
OpenAI Raises $8.3B at $300B Valuation (Source)
OpenAI has raised $8.3 billion, bringing its valuation to $300 billion, according to The New York Times. The funding round, led by Dragoneer with $2.8 billion, came ahead of schedule as demand soared. Other investors include Blackstone, TPG, and T. Rowe Price.
OpenAI now generates over $13 billion in annualized revenue and boasts 700 million weekly active users. The company aims to raise $40 billion this year as it continues rapid growth and expands talks with Microsoft.
Google Rolls Out Gemini 2.5 Deep Think for AI Ultra Users (Source)
Google has launched Gemini 2.5 Deep Think for AI Ultra subscribers, offering advanced reasoning through parallel thinking and extended inference time. This mode helps Gemini generate and refine multiple ideas simultaneously for more creative, accurate answers.
Deep Think supports longer responses, complex coding, and scientific problem-solving. It integrates tools like code execution and Google Search, and now scores 87.6% on LiveCodeBench—up from 80.4% in May.
Ideal for iterative tasks like web development and complex design, Deep Think also reaches Bronze-level performance on the 2025 International Math Olympiad benchmark.

Google is planning to add more ads to its AI-powered search, known as AI Mode, according to a report by AdAge. Leaked slides show Google pitching text and shopping ads that appear within AI chat results, marked with a “Sponsored” label.
These ads aim to blend into AI-generated answers, helping users discover products while keeping businesses visible. Google described the move as an “experiment” but has already seen strong results.
Ads in AI Mode are expected to roll out more widely before Q4. Google previously confirmed in a May 2025 blog post that ads may appear below or within AI responses when relevant.
