NVIDIA to Build Taiwan’s First AI Supercomputer

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced at Computex 2025 that the company will build Taiwan’s first national AI supercomputer in partnership with Foxconn, TSMC, and the Taiwanese government.
The supercomputer will use 10,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. Foxconn will build the AI infrastructure, and TSMC will use the system for advanced research.
Huang said it's important for Taiwan to not only build AI for the world but also use it at home. To support its growing team, NVIDIA will also open a larger office in Taipei, called the “NVIDIA Constellation.”
These plans come as the tech industry faces uncertainty due to new U.S. tariffs and chip export restrictions to China. NVIDIA expects these changes could cost them up to $5.5 billion.
To adapt, NVIDIA is expanding globally. It recently announced a plan to sell 18,000 AI chips to Saudi Arabia and confirmed it will continue building more AI data centers worldwide.
